Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Battlevellum service (the “Service”) collects, uses, and protects personal data of its users.

The operator of personal data is an individual, Aleksandr Vyacheslavovich Papakhin (Папахин Александр Вячеславович), contact e-mail: battlevellum@yandex.ru (the “Operator”).

By using the Service, the User confirms that they have read this Policy. Processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the applicable law, including Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”.

1. Personal data processed

Account data: e-mail address; password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in plain text).

Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, and information about actions within the Service, collected automatically, including via web-analytics tools (Yandex.Metrica).

User Content: maps, captions, names, and other data the User creates in the Service.

2. Purposes of processing

Registration and authentication of the User and provision of access to the Service.

Operation, maintenance, security, and improvement of the Service.

Communication with the User regarding the Service, and compliance with legal requirements.

3. Legal basis

Processing is based on the User's consent given when accepting the User Agreement and this Policy, on the need to perform the agreement with the User, and on the legitimate interests and legal obligations of the Operator.

4. Methods and term of processing

Personal data is processed using automated and non-automated means.

Data is stored for as long as the Account exists and the Service is used, and thereafter for the period required by law or until consent is withdrawn, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

5. Transfer to third parties

The Operator does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by service providers acting on the Operator's behalf, including hosting providers and the web-analytics service Yandex.Metrica (Yandex LLC).

Data may be disclosed to competent authorities where required by law.

Data is processed and stored on servers; cross-border transfer, if any, is carried out in accordance with applicable law.

6. Cookies

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies, including a session cookie (authentication), a language-preference cookie, and analytics cookies.

The User may restrict cookies in their browser settings; some features of the Service may then become unavailable.

7. Data protection

The Operator takes reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including password hashing and signed session cookies.

8. Rights of the data subject

The User has the right to obtain information about the processing of their data, to request its clarification, blocking, or deletion, and to withdraw consent to processing.

The User may exercise these rights by deleting their Account or by contacting the Operator at: battlevellum@yandex.ru. Withdrawal of consent or deletion of the Account may make further use of the Service impossible.

9. Amendments to the Policy

The Operator may amend this Policy unilaterally without prior notice. The new version takes effect upon publication on the Service. The User undertakes to review the current version independently.

This Policy is drawn up in Russian; translations into other languages are provided for convenience, and the Russian-language version prevails in case of discrepancy.
